Presentation of Letters of Credence by the Ambassador to the President of the Republic of Latvia
On June 6, 2017, the Ambassador of the Republic of Benin to the Republic of Latvia, H.E Mr. Eusèbe Agbangla, presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Latvia, His Excellency Mr. Raimonds Vejonis, as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Before that ceremony, the Ambassador handed over the copies of his Letters of Credence to the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Andrejs Pildegovics. The talks between the two officials made it possible to lay the foundations for boosting bilateral Benin-Latvian cooperation.
The Ambassador also met with with Mr. Andrejs Klementjevs, Secretary of the Latvian Parliament (“Saeima”), and with the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The two Beninese and Latvian sides agreed on a number of actions to boost bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of private investment, academic and scientific cooperation and non-governmental organizations.
